| Description: | Abstract: The Information System Geological Map NRW provides digital data about the age, texture an extension of rocks and is available for whole Nordrhein-Westfalen. The contents of this system are continuously updated and expanded with new Informations. Also the Information System is fundamental for planning large-scale projects when knowledge about the geological basement are relevant like raw material production or build up a natural reserve. The data is available as vector data files for ArcView and ArcGIS, inculding a key with commonly used colors. By default the data is delivered without topography, but the topographic raster data from the Bezirksregierung Köln/Abt. 7 Geobasis NRW (www.lverma.nrw.de) is recommended. |
