| Description: | Abstract: The DLM250 describes the topographical objects of the landscape and the relief of the earth´s surface. Data is provided in a vector format based on the rules of the ATKIS-Objektartenkatalog ATKISOK250 (feature type catalogue for DLM250) and organized in an object structure that is divided in different contents levels. Additionally data is classified after its object type (point, line, polygon) in each group of objects. If object types overlay with areas (e.g. object types of "Schutzgebiete" (protective areas)) or if it is easier to handle them (e.g. the object types "Freileitung" (overhead line) or "Rohrleitung, Pipeline" (pipeline)), they are provided in a separate layer. The OK250 was last updated 2004-01-01. Data has been cartographically generalized using the drawing rules of the map "Series 1501 – Joint Operations Graphic (JOG)". DLM data is a combination of vectorized raster data of the military map series 1501 by the NATO, data provided by AGeoBw/AFSBw (Amt für Geoinformationswesen der Bundeswehr/ Amt für Flugsicherung der Bundeswehr – Geoinformation Office of the Federal Armed Forces/ Agency for air traffic control of the Federal Armed Forces) and the GN250 (Geographical names) provided by BKG (Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie – Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy) and addition of feature types, attributes, attribute values based on different sources (e.g. ATKIS-BasisDLM, database of the Deutsche Bahn). |
