Title: | Main Title: CO2 profile measurements at the FZJ meteorological tower, Apr. 2014 – Dec 2015 |
Description: | Abstract: Since April 2014, CO2 (and H2O) concentrations are measured at three height levels (12.5 m, 32.5 m, 52.5 m) on the 124 m meteorological tower on the campus of Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ, 6°24’34’’ E, 50°54’36’’ N, 91m a.s.l.). Concentrations are measured each second by one separate closed-path gas analyzer per height (LI-840A, Li-Cor Biosciences, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA) after being pumped through an about 4 m intake tube, and stored as 10-minute averages (UTC time). The measurements are mainly intended for use by subproject C4 (Markus Übel, Andreas Bott, Meteorological Institute of the University of Bonn, MIUB), who also own the instruments and employ and supervise the student assistant responsible for maintenance, calibration and data collection. More information on the data, results and their discussion and additionally available data at the FZJ tower not measured in the framework of TR32 can be found in Übel (2016). The data is available as a single ASCII file containing the timestamp and the CO2 mixing ratios (ppmv) for each measurement height. Please contact Markus Übel or Andreas Bott prior to any use of the data for proper interpretation and acknowledgement. Responsible persons: - Markus Übel (MIUB, C4), Andreas Bott (MIUB, C4): data owner - Melanie Kern (student assistant, until Sep. 2015), Anna-Marie Jörss (student assistant, since Oct. 2015): maintenance, calibration and data collection - Martin Lennefer (MIUB): technical support - Alexander Graf (FZJ, IBG-3, Z3), Marius Schmidt (FZJ, IBG-3, Z3): assistance in the set-up and calibration - Axel Knaps (FZJ, S): assistance with access to the measurement platforms References: Übel, Markus (2016), Simulation of mesoscale patterns and diurnal variations of atmospheric CO2 mixing ratios with the model system TerrSysMP-CO2, PhD thesis, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn |
