Description:Abstract: The exchange visit of Morten Andreas Dahl Larsen at the Meteorological Institute of the University of Bonn was based on an effort to utilize the two coupled systems, PARFLOW/COSMO and MIKE SHE/HIRHAM, on the same catchment – the Skjern River catchment in Denmark. Being a relatively new field the similarity in catchment and data use can help in assessing the actual effects of model coupling. The visit therefore had two aims: To ensure that the interpretation of the available data of the Skjern catchment was similar and, to discuss forthcoming modelling experiments and evaluation methods with the staff at the Bonn/Julich Institutes. In addition a presentation was held by Morten A.D. Larsen followed by discussion.
