Title:Main Title: Plant adaptations to water stress situations
Description:Abstract: This report gives an overview on root water uptake mechanisms, explaining further the role of aquaporins in water uptake as well as the role of the plant hormone abscicid acid (ABA) and its impact in stress situations. Possible plant responses to water stress situations are defined and should serve as guidance for the design and interpretation of experiments. It further shows a review of split root experiments and finally a modeling section for plant responses to water stress.
