Description:Abstract: Backscatter profiles of aerosol as measured with our vaisala ct25k ceilometer. Data in zip archive ceilo_sel_.zip are netcdf files with the binary data: _ct25k_sel_l0b.nc and quicklooks in subdir plots/ plots/_ct25k_sel_l0b_v3.png instrument parameters and time/height plots of backscatter profiles plots/_ct25k_sel_l0b.png detected cloud heights and time/height plots of backscatter profiles plots/_ct25k_sel_l0b_blh.png time/height plots of smoothed backscatter profiles, their d/dz derivative and derived boundary layer heights (blh) with the date of the respective day. Cloud heights are detected by the instrument it self (vaisala algotrithm). Boundary layer heights are derived by. tau1 (tau2): finding the height below which 90% (95%) of the optical thickness is. minX0: findig the height of the largest local minimum of the derivative deta/dz of the backscatter coefficient eta below tau1.
