| Description: | Abstract: Background for the construction of the digital soil map in the scale 1:5.000 is the result of the agricultural and silvicultural site investigation undertaken by the Geologischer Dienst NRW (geological survey) using a network of boreholes with an interval und 100 m. These maps based on the DGK 5 are a available for several 100.000 ha. These large-scale soil maps are perfect pedological planning documents, because they can be connected with other digital informations, like climate data terrain models. By default the data is delivered without topography, but the topographic raster data from the Bezirksregierung Köln/Abt. 7 Geobasis NRW (www.lverma.nrw.de) is recommended. |
