| Description: | Abstract: This dataset contains two field case studies of broadband spectral electrical imaging for an improved soil characterization. The first case study was a controlled irrigation experiment on the roofed plot of the upper rhizotron facility on the Selhausen test-site, which was monitored with spectral electrical measurements using surface electrodes, as well as soil physical measurements like TDR and soil water potential. The second case study was a borehole meaurement (B75 and B76) in a well defined aquifer on the Krauthausen testsite, which used numerical modeling and calibration strategies in order to correct the data for electromagnetic coupling effects. Results are related to known soil structural and textural properties, as well as laboratory measurements. |
